EVGA hebt für die RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra die TDP auf 500 Watt an mithilfe eines Bios-Updates. Durch das Bios-Update wird das Dual-Bios mit einer neuen Version ersetzt, in der "normalen" Stellung stehen weiterhin 420 Watt an, für die OC-Stellung werden 500 Watt ermöglicht.
Auch die Speerspitze des EVGAs Portfolios erhält ein neues Bios, so stehen der GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra insgesamt zwei neue BIOS-Versionen für das Dual-BIOS zur Verfügung, beide Versionen sind zwar noch im Beta-Status aber wurden bereits im Forum von EVGA freigegeben.
Das neue Bios ersetzt beide Einstellungen "Normal" und "OC", verändert auf der Standardeinstellung aber die 420 Watt nicht, nur bei der OC-Stellung wird das Bios auf 500 Watt angehoben.

Due to many users request, have a new BETA BIOS that increases the maximum Power Target. This BIOS is only intended for the extreme overclocking user and does not have any other changes.
Anleitung zur Installation der neuen BIOS-Versionen von EVGA
BIOS Instructions (Windows Installation):
- Download the correct .zip file below for your graphics card below.
- Extract the files to a location on disk.
- Make sure no programs are running in the background, and double click Update.exe
- Press "Y" to begin the update.
- After update, restart PC.
- NOTE: There are 2 BIOS's, one is for the BIOS when switched to the normal stock position, the other if switched to the OC position
